Aon Hewitt Investment Consulting (AHIC) is currently hiring a talented professional in its Global Investment Center.  Preferably based in London or Chicago, this individual will be a leader in our investment research and portfolio management group.

The Global Investment Center comprises AHIC’s asset allocation, investment views, investment manager research and portfolio management functions. The senior investment professional will focus in one of the main functional areas of the team—including long- and short-term investment strategy, investment manager talent identification and monitoring, and implementation of solutions in client portfolios—but will participate in the activities of each of these areas.

Responsibilities of this role may include but are not limited to:

  • Senior contributor and leadership role in  our integrated research and portfolio management efforts across asset classes
  • Develop long-, medium and short-term strategic and tactical asset allocation positioning advice for a wide variety of institutional investor types
  • Identify high-conviction, differentiated active investment manager talent for use in advisory consulting and delegated/outsourced CIO portfolios
  • Bring complete investment solutions to AHIC advisory and delegated/outsourced CIO clients based on a thorough understanding of their current circumstances and objectives
  • Interact with clients, field consultants, investment managers and AHIC management on a variety of investment issues
  • Promote Aon Hewitt’s solution offering and professional reputation externally; e.g. with the press and at industry conferences
  • Grow Aon Hewitt's client base; e.g., new business pitches. 
  • Lead/manage/mentor GIC colleagues 

    The successful candidate for this role will have the following qualifications and experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in a senior investment consulting, investment management, academic or similar role
  • Ability to effectively manage a team of investment professionals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and deliver within stipulated timelines
  • Ability to quickly and competently build relationships
  • Continuous improvement focus and bias toward action
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related area. An MBA or CFA or both are preferred.
